Prologue

The first day of our journey is off to a good start as we woke up to a retweet by Alistair Brammer! (It seemed like a good omen.) For those of you who don't know, Alistair is playing the lead in Miss Saigon, which we'll be seeing at the end of July. He's also Nicole's One True Love. (Nicole tried to delete this but I tackled her.)

Alistair and Nicole last summer
The whole purpose of this blog is to document our four weeks in Brighton and week in London (although at times, it may seem that the purpose is to post many selfies and be needlessly wordy). Between the two of us, we'll be going to Bath, Stonehenge, Cambridge, in addition to hiking and other outdoor activities (yeah, outdoors = Stefanie).

In addition to sharing the cool sites that we see with all of you back home, we'll also hopefully show some of the campus (including room tours!) and talk about our classes a bit. Nicole is taking "New Worlds For Old: The Impact of the Tudor Dynasty," while Stefanie is taking Introductory Biology I, which has a much less exciting name.

Stefanie flew to Raleigh from Tampa yesterday so that we could fly directly from Raleigh to London together. This morning, after we calmed down from seeing Alistair's retweet, we went to lunch with Mama Ackman. Stefanie was dumb and healthy and had a beautiful spinach crepe and salad. Nicole was indulgent and ate a nutella-banana-strawberry-gelato-whipped-cream crepe (which Stefanie finished for her).

At Brunch
In just a little while, we're heading to see Hannah's presentation of the soon-to-be-bestselling-novel, "Stef and Coco in London." (She's been at Artists & Authors Camp this week and we couldn't miss her presentation, since the book is about us.) Then, we'll all head to the airport and fly across the pond.

Hopefully, we'll give an update tomorrow once we've settled in at the University of Sussex. Remember to follow us on Instagram (Nicole and Stefanie) to get more frequent updates!
